External classification schemes are controlled vocabularies outside of Mandala. Mandala lets you tag your images using these classification schemes. Learn more about external classification schemes.
Add a Scheme
Email mandala@virginia.edu to request a new classification scheme.
Use an Existing Scheme
- Create an image or edit an image
- From the editor, click Classification
Classification fields will expand
- Click Add New Classification
"Add new node" options will expand
- Choose your classification scheme from the drop-down menu
- Enter the fields required for your scheme
- Click Create Node
Your new classification data will appear in a list
