Polarized target experts are people who are qualified to be on call to fix the various subsystems when problems arise. To keep things running smoothly this experiment should have at least 5 people qualified to do this so no one person is responsible for fulfilling this role for too long. This can be a very demanding role as this person is also responsible for several tasks around target handling and maintenance that are ongoing.
