A Knowledge Map is a list of media related to a subject or place.

  1. Go to mandala.shanti.virginia.edu/subjects
    • The Subjects homepage will open
  2. Find a subject name
    you want to view
  3. Click the media types Find media related to the subject in the "Overview" sidebar menu
  4. Note that this list is the subject's Knowledge Map
  5. Note that the types and number of media in a Knowledge Map vary by subject
  6. Click a menu item
    • For example, click Audio-Video so see the audio and video files associated with the subject
    • Items related to the subject will appear
  7. To explore a related item's Knowledge Map, follow steps 5 and 6
  8. To view the Knowledge Map of a related subject or place:
    1.  Hover over the item
      • A pop-up menu will appear previewing the item's Knowledge Map
    2. Click Full Entry to go to the item's Knowledge Map
      • The item's Knowledge Map will open in a new tab
    • Related media types will open
  9. Click Subjects or Places in the "Overview" sidebar menu to explore related Knowledge Maps
    • Related assets Knowledge maps will open
    1. Hover over an asset
      • A tooltip will show a preview of the Knowledge Map
      • This tooltip may take a few seconds to load
    2. Click the Full Entry button to go to the asset's Knowledge Map
