If you want to browse the Places collection without entering typing a search query, follow the instructions below.

1. Go to mandala.shanti.virginia.edu/places
2. Click the search icon
   icon 
   • This icon is a magnifying glass in the top right of the pageFind this button below the main menu

   • The search

     menu

     window will expand

   Leave the search field blank

   • The "Results" tab will be selected automatically

3. Click the the Browse Places tab tab
   • Click Earth to expand the hierarchy
     • Note that Earth is the highest level in the Places hierarchy
   • Click + and - to expand and collapse places
   • • Note that "Earth" will be expanded automatically; if it's not, click the + sign next to "Earth"

     • A hierarchy of place names will appear

   • Click the + and - signs to expand and collapse place names
   • Hover over a place name to quickly see its Knowledge Map

     • A pop-over window will appear showing the place's related media

   • Click a place name Click a place from the results
     

     • The

       Knowledge Map Overview page

       node page for the place will appear
