The Confluence production environment will undergo a migration from 8am-5pm ET on Saturday, May 25th. The Confluence environment will be available in read only mode. Changes to data in Confluence will not be possible until the migration is complete.
Metadata is descriptive information about your visualization. Metadata helps viewers find and understand the resource.
- Either create or edit a visualization
- Scroll down the page, past the visualization entry form
- Fill in a description for your visualization
- Connect your visualization to other resources with Knowledge Maps
- Subjects and Places are both Knowledge Maps; learn more
- Click the search bar for subjects or places to find and browse Knowledge Maps
- Add a thumbnail preview
- Click Choose file
- Open your thumbnail from the file browser
- Click Upload
You'll see your thumbnail and new metadata fields
- Enter the alt text and title for your thumbnail
- Choose your visibility settings
- Switch this to Public if you want everyone to see your visualization; visualizations are Private by default
- Click Save
Metadata will show below your visualization
