The Confluence production environment will undergo a migration from 8am-5pm ET on Saturday, May 25th. The Confluence environment will be available in read only mode. Changes to data in Confluence will not be possible until the migration is complete.
To add sections or pages to a text, you need to have first created a main page. For more information, see the Texts' Structure guide.
- Log in to texts.shanti.virginia.edu
- Open your text
- Learn more at Open Your Texts
- Find the page of text that needs a section
- Click on the section title in "Contents" to navigate to that page
- Click the green Insert button at the bottom of the page section
The "Create Book page" window will open
- Type the new section's title into the "Title" field
- Click SHANTI Texts Splitter
The section will expand
- Choose whether you want to split your text into sections
- Type the new section's content into the "Content" box
- To add metadata to the section, scroll down
- Typically, only use metadata for the main page of a text
- Click the Preview button at the bottom of the page to review your section
- The "Preview" page will open
- Click the Save text section button at the bottom of the page
A message confirming the creation of your section will appear
