Welcome to the SHANTI Knowledge Base
The SHANTI Knowledge Base is the center of SHANTI's community-driven mission to promote the use of a self-sustaining ecology of digital tools.
The Knowledge Base consists of two parts: Help and Forums. In Help, you can find documentation on tools, including support and how-to information for SHANTI's Community Tools (SHANTI Pages, SHANTI wiki, NowComment, and Zotero). In Forums, you can find answers to user-submitted questions--and ask your own questions!
To go to the Forums, click on the Forums tab in the Navigation Pane to the right.
About the Home Page
In the two columns below, you see (on the left) a list of New Comments and a list of New Page Edits.
Comments can be placed on Help Documentation pages or on Forum pages.
The list of New Page Edits will tell you what non-comment material has recently been added to or changed on the site.
About the Navigation Pane
You are currently on the home page for the Knowledge Base. In the pane to the right, you see the table of contents for the Help Documentation Entries
When you navigate to a certain section of the Help Documentation, the Navigation Pane will display (if applicable) that page's table of contents and list of subpages.
The Dashboard Tab shows you a list of all SHANTI Wiki spaces available for your viewing.
Contributing to the Knowledge Base
All UVa community members (and guests with Collab Guest Accounts) can contribute to the Help Documentation and Forums.
The 'Log in' button for the Knowledge Base is located under the 'Edit' pulldown menu on the horizontal tool bar.
Please note that this log in is not identical to the Portal login (located at the very top of SHANTI's website), even though Netbadge is used for both.
