Create the Root Node of a Text

See the Understand the Structure of Texts guide

1. Log in to Shanti Texts

2. Click the Create Text tab

   • This tab is located next to "Browse Texts" at the top of the page

   • The "Create Book page" window will open

   • This new page will be the root node of the text

3. Give your text a title in the "Title" box

   • "Title" is located at the top of the page

4. Add a cover image in the "Featured Image" section

5. Type the content for the first page in the "Content" box

6. Click on Metadata

   • Metadata is located in the left sidebar

   • The "Metadata" page will open

7. Fill in metadata information for your text

   • Scroll down to see all metadata fields

   • Add the author in the "Written by" field

   • Add the editor in the "Edited by" field

   • Add KMap subjects in the "Subjects" field

   • Add KMap places in the "Places" field 

   • Add a description, the language, the publication year, and the rights in their respective fields

8. Click on Admin 

   • Admin is located in the left sidebar

   • The "Admin" page will appear

9. Adjust the text's visibility options

10. Click on Save

    • Save is located at the bottom of the window

    • The window will close

    • Your text will appear

    • A message will appear confirming the save
