See the Root Node glossary definition

  1. Log in to SHANTI Texts
  2. Click the menu icon
    • The menu icon is the four horizontal lines in the upper-right corner
    • A drop-down menu will unfold
  3. Click the Create Text tab
    • The "Create Book page" window will open
    • This new page will be the root node of the text
  4. Give your text a title in the "Title" box
    • "Title" is located in the top left corner of the page
  5. Click on SHANTI Texts Splitter
    • A drop-down menu will unfold
    • Choose whether or not you want to split your text into sections
    • If yes, select which header levels will signal each new section
  6. Find the sidebar menu on the left of the page
  7. Go to the "Content" section
    • The "Content" tab is automatically selected; if it isn't, click Content
    1. Type the content for the first page in the "Content" box
  8. In the "Group content visibility" field, type in which groups will be able to see the text
  9. Add a cover image in the "Featured Image" section
  10. Scroll down to fill in metadata information for your text
    • Add the author in the "Author" field
    • Add the editor in the "Editor" field
    • Add KMap subjects in the "Subjects" field
    • Add KMap places in the "Places" field 
    • Add a description, the language, the publication year, and the rights in their respective fields
  11. Click on Save and continue if you are finished editing the page
    • Save is located at the bottom of the window
    • A message will appear confirming the save
