See the Root Node glossary definition

  1. Log in to SHANTI Texts
  2. Click the menu icon
    • The menu icon is the four horizontal lines in the upper-right corner
    • A drop-down menu will unfold
  3. Click Create Text
    • The "Create Book page" window will open
    • This new page will be the root node of the text
  4. Give your text a title in the "Title" box
    • "Title" is located in the top left corner of the page
  5. Click SHANTI Texts Splitter
    • A drop-down menu will unfold
    • Choose whether you want to split your text into sections
    • If yes, select which header levels will indicate new sections
  6. Find the sidebar menu on the left of the page
  7. Go to the "Content" section
    • "Content" is automatically selected; if it isn't, click Content
    1. Type the content for the first page in the "Content" box
  8. Click KMap Terms
    1. Add KMap subjects in the "Subjects" field
    2. Add KMap places in the "Places" field
  9. Click Catalog Data
    1. Add a cover image in the "Featured Image" section
    2. Add a description in the "Description" field
    3. Add the author in the "Author" field
    4. Add the editor in the "Editor" field
    5. Add the translator, language, date, publication year, and the rights in their respective field
  10. Click Collection
    1. Add a collection or subcollection from the "Collection" drop-down menu
    2. Type in which groups will be able to see the text in the "Visibility" field
  11. Click Admin
    1. Type the status in the "Status" field
  12. Click Revision information
    1. Type an explanation of your revisions in the "Revision log message" field
  13. Click Publishing options
    1. Check the "Published" box
  14. Click Preview
    • Find "Preview" at the bottom of the window
  15. Click Save text section if you are finished editing the page
    • Find "Save" at the bottom of the window
    • A message will appear confirming the save
