Starting your account is easy. You simply log in for the first time at subjects.kmaps.virginia.edu or places.kmaps.virginia.edu. Remember, this doesn't give you privileges to do anything on the Knowledge Maps editor – see the Get Editorial Permissions guide to learn more. 

1. Go to subjects.kmaps.virginia.edu or places.kmaps.virginia.edu
2. Click the Main Menu hamburger icon 
   • This icon looks like four stacked lines in the top right corner
3. Click Login 

   • The login page will open

4. Enter your NetBadge credentials

   • Mandala creates your account automatically once you log in for the first time
