Team IntroductionsAll

Ellen Ramsey

Brenda Gunn: investment in having DAMS as head of Special Collections, SLT liaison. Will work closely with Carmelita on questions that intersect w collections. Cheerleader & champion, partner in clearing pathways and barriers.

Steven Villereal: has a lot of content. uncompressed versions of AV might not be in DAMS, but there are also things internal producers might need access to. staging area for work done but not described yet.

Katie Rojas: head of tech services for SC. her team is responsible for making objects accessible and described. ArchiveSpace, DPG content are all part of descriptions

Heather Riser: head of ref desk for SC, also working on digital ordering process. looking forward to making that process more seamless and self-service (especially for things that are digitized already.

Christina Deane: sitting on a lot of content in DPG they are hoping to expose in the DAMS. knows the most about that content from institutional perspective. Also leaning on LibIT (Lou and Mike)

Kara McClurken: standing in for Lauren Work/digital preservation. Affiliated groups could also find it easier for digital preservation workflows if we set them up well.

Molly Fair: Dig Pres analyst, works with Kara & Steven. Access and preservation of materials across departments.

Hirak Ray: User Experience researcher in Communications. Assumptions? User wants? put things in front of users to get input.

Carla Arton: Dir of Tech Ops in LibIT. Will bring her team in after configuration of software. Someone from TSG will take over as software admin, access to users, paying bills to vendor, etc, keeping up with versions and features (like Mark W. does for ILS).

Tim Stevens: LibIT input on putting networks in place correctly. Helpful to define scope of content for initial year. What does it mean to access content? Move it? Edit it? Clarification of is it for preservation, or is it for dissemination and use. On Grounds/off Grounds access, external partners?

Holly Robertson: Curator of Exhibitions, and very hopeful that this forthcoming DAMS can help with the Digital Exhibitions Platform Project to populate those online exhibitions with authentic linked digital assets instead of creating a whole new secondary universe of digital versions of our collections. Exhibitions are a heavy user of our digital assets—and a proponent of providing new pathways of access to our collections. I believe a well-executed DAMS could help us both preserve and provide access to our digital collections.

Mike Durbin: any time we add a new system, there is work to be assigned and content to be indexed. He and his team will do that.

Perry Roland: metadata consulting. "we don't make the product, we make the product better."
