The Chair will send out the application to the IB via email. At this time the Chair would have already discussed this with the spokespeople and determined if the request is fitting and will state to the IB that the spokespeople are in support of the applicant. At this time the IB will be given seven days at which time any IB member may motion to request additional information or for the applicant to give a presentation. This motion must be seconded for the Chair to act. If it is seconded then the Chair will make the appropriate arrangements and reach out to the applicant. Once the information/presentation has been delivered the Chair will request a vote which will determine the outcome of the application process. The Institutional Board is given the opportunity to vote on all new Full Member other than member working directly under a SpinQuest member already in the collaboration. If in the first place after seven days there are only supporting votes then the applicant/institution joining or one person request additional information without a second, then the applicant is permitted to join. The Chair will then reach out to them with instructions on how to proceed.
