You can upload an audio file from different locations, including the "My Content" section of your account. This step-by-step guide shows you how to upload a file from the Audio-Video tool homepage.

1. Go Log in to the audio-video.shanti.virginia.edu
   • Learn more at Log in to Audio-Video
   homepage
2. Find the "Add to Your Collections" sectionFind this your collections" section on the right below the "Create a Collection" section
3. Choose a collection from the drop-down menu
   

   • The drop-down menu will close, and will show the name of the collection 

4. Click on the Upload Audio button

   • The "Create Audio" page will open

5. Click on Media

   • A menu will unfold

6. Click on Add Media

   • A dialogue box will open

7. To add audio files saved to your computer, click on the Upload tab

   • The "Upload Audio" section will open

8. • The "Media" section will be expanded automatically

9. Click the Add Media button

   • A pop-up window will open

10. Click the Choose File button to upload an audio file from your computer

    • A dialog box will open showing

    Click on Browse
    • A dialogue box will open, showing a list of

      files on your computer

    Choose a file
11. Click the audio file that you want to upload
12. Click on the Open button

    • The

      dialogue

      dialog box will close, and the file name will appear

      in

      next to the "

      Upload Audio

      Choose File"

      list
13. Add more files as desired

15. Click the Upload buttonClick on Upload

    • A dialogue box will open, showing a status bar for the upload; when it finishes, you will be returned to the "Upload Audio" list, and the file's status will be listed as "Done"

16. Click on Nextthe Submit button
    

    • Your audio file will be added to the "Media" section

    • A window will load, allowing you to change the title of the media file and add tags

17. Fill in the "Title" field
    • The file will not load without a title
18. Click on Next

    • A status bar will appear, and when the file is uploaded the dialogue box will close

    • The audio file will be listed in the "Media" section of the "Create Audio" page

19. Click on the Title & Description section
    • Scroll down the "Create Audio" page to find this section 
20. Enter a title 
    • The audio will not save without a title
21. Click on the other sections on the "Create Audio" page to add more settings

22. Click on Save

    • The file will appear

    • A confirmation message will appear
