  1. Locate the Magnifying glass icon

    • Find it underneath the menu icon, at the top right of the page

  2. Click on the Magnifying glass icon

    • A drop-down menu will unfold from the right side of the page

  3. Enter your search terms in the text box

  4. Filter results in your basic search:

    • Click on the "Descriptions" box to search for keywords only in the content's description

    • Click on the "Transcripts" box to search for keywords only in the content's transcript

  5. Filter results with the advanced search:

    •  All Text: search all text in the Mediabase

    • Name: search only the names of content

    • Starts with: search content that starts with your keyword

    • Exactly: Search for your exact keywords only

  6. Click on the arrow to the right of the search text box

    • A page will load with your search results

  7. Locate the menu at the right of your search results

    • It will show the number of results found and give you options to sort your results 

  8. Sort your results:

    • Relevancy: sort results by their similarity to your keywords

    • Title: sort results by their titles

    • Type: sort results by their type of media (audio file, video, etc.)

    • Author: sort results by author

    • Date: sort results by most recent to least recent

    • Duration: sort results by shortest to longest in duration
