  1. Make sure the connections are correct according to the following picture
    a) RF out → connects to the RF splitter
    b) One output of the RF splitter → connects to the RF reference
    c) The other output of the RF splitter → connects to the 'Input' of the cold NMR circuit.
    d) The output from the cold NMR circuit should be connected to the 'Signal from the tuner'

  2. Turn ON the RF Signal Generator

  4. Ensure the GPIB cables is connected and the indicator is blinking (orange ↔ green)

  5. Turn ON the nuc Computer

  6. Log-in (pw: ask Kun, Ishara, Liliet, Farooq, Syed, Vaniya)

  7. Open the folder 'new_vis_2022'

  8. Open the 'README.txt' file. This file contains the original notes by Kun Liu. The following steps are also same as the ones that are mentioned in this README.txt file.

  9. Open. 'SX Virtual Link' on the Windows Menu

  10. Double-click on each component at a time and connect all the modules.

  11. Open NBEclipse

  12. Click the 'search' button and wait until there is a pop-up window appears with the IP address (remember this IP address for a few minutes).

  13. Click the 'connect' button and wait until you can see the numbers populated below the 'connect' button. If the numbers don't appear within 30 seconds, click the 'connect' button again.

  14. Click on RFSwitch3, and then click open with LabView.

  15. Select the correct channel that you connected the coil (in this example was CH2), and press the run button (of the VI), and you should expect the 'green button' if the GPIB is connected properly.
    If you don't see the 'green light', then check the GPIB cable, disconnect it and re-connect, then re-start from Step 1.

  16. Click on 'NMRFSwitch' VI

  17. It will ask you to select 'Netburner_cntlTCP'. Then press 'OK', and after that press 'ignore' on the load warning summary (see the images below).

  18. On the E1039 NMR Panel, select the Channel 2 → enter the IP address from Step #12 → enter the 'Peak Center' frequency (in this example it is 213 MHz)
